I get a lot of calls and emails from people whose horses just don't seem to act like they should. If the horse has been pre-owned, and sometimes even if it hasn't, they say, "I'm sure he was abused." Some cite, "I think he was dancing around and the farrier lost his cool and must have hit him with the rasp and he hasn't been the same since." Horses are the most compliant animals on earth. Whatever you can train them to do you can un-train them to do, You simply change the action and the result changes. In order to do that you have to understand the process.
